Hi guys! My horse is barefoot, and does really well, but thinking about moving yards where the hacking will sometimes have to be on roads. Thinking about getting some 'foot boots', to stop him getting foot sore. I was wondering if anyone had used them, what brands are best etc. Many Thanks!

Hi, I've recently bought the "old mac G2" boots, they seem really good, they were around £85 for a pair.

I also need to find a pair of boots, Marquis super grip ones seem to be the most recommended, but are also pricey. After someone on here suggested them the other day I googled and found a company which allows you to hire them for a few weeks, and then takes the hire cost off the purchase price if you want to buy them.

I have had some Old Mac G2 and then had the equiboot's. I much preferred the equiboots - they stayed put much better than the Old Macs - but that might have just been my mare. The old macs were probably easier to put on - but just never seemed to fit quite as well as the equiboots.

I brought mine from www.thesaddleryshop.co.uk - and they do hire as well. I used this website for both sets of boots I had - very quick delivery.

Jojo - which company was that? Looking around on the net, and from what i can read the Marquis Supergrip ones do sound good, although most advertising sites will make them sound good i suppose! Does anyone know how much they retail at, or indeed where i can get them from!?

Boa's are brilliant. One of my old ponies is sometimes a little footy so I put these on and he absolutely loves them. They dont slip or rub. I turn him out all day in them with no problems at all. And Ive ridden him in them too
