Barefoot diet - weight gain & energy

Hi all,

My tb has been barefoot for 3 months, currently fed on fast fibre, 2 mugs of micronised linseed, pro hoof, salt and ad lib hay. He really needs to put on some weight and he could also do with some ooommph. I have searched through lots of past threads and there are so many choices - oats, copra, ers, beet etc. So I am really looking for recommendations on whats worked
for you guys.

I have the opposite problem at present so I can't speak from experience but would suggest you avoid oats as they are way too high in starch for a BF diet. I have heard good reports of Copra and ERS pellets.
You would probably get a better response by asking seeking help on the Horsecare and Feeding forum. Also worth checking out this site:
