Hi,
I have 4 barefoot ponies/horses biggest being 15.2 but all good doers with native in them, no real hard work, turned out 24/7 they just come in after work to have their brush, food, work etc. 2 are muzzled by day. They diets are all more or less the same and I'm hoping its ok and I can keep them going on it. All get a base of fast fibre ( tiny tiny amount just as a carrier) equimins advance complete, linseed and mag ox. 1 gets brewers yeast for sweetitch, another gets Angus catus and another hoof mender by equimins. None will get hay until the winter kicks in.
I worry that they aren't getting all they need and I could do better.
And also I feed 12 hrs soaked hay in the winter but would Timothy hayhage be ok? Devon haylage had theirs tested and the fructan levels were below the detectable levels of 0.5g/kg. would this be ok to feed instead of battling with cold frozen water?
Thanks x
