my thread has been locked. No one has button pushed as such and admin have advised me why they have closed it. I totally understand their views on this. I am now considering if the subject can be resurrected in another thread and how to do it. This is in conjunction with admin.
I have advised admin that I am starting this new thread and it is simply to ask people not to start "what colour is my saddlepad" type threads.

This is a VERY contentious subject, probably more so than some on here realise. I am hopeful we may be able to continue as it is so important however please don't add it to the list of threads suddenly closed. There are reasons here. Admin have been pretty good to let it carry on so far and I am hopeful they will allow the old thread to remain locked but visible.

thanks

I hadn't seen any locked thread.

However, I am curious why you take offence to a what colour is my saddle pad thread? I've seen several, not that I tend to read them or contribute, as all mine are black!

I agree, it is important information and ought to remain fully accessible, so what exactly is it that people must avoid posting, or ensure that they always include, please?

Very sensible, the only sensible colour, which also matches everything,
but I think this references the epic tale about a contentious vet, and subsequent spin-off story.
Need to prioritise the info about horse welfare, keep it on track, in a non-contentious way (probably impossible, being a highly contentious topic, but at least in a libel-law-acceptable way) - yes? No?

So the request to avoid a what colour is my saddle pad is code for something else, not actually about highly coloured or patterned saddle pads? I had no idea there was a spin off thread and was just bemused why saddle pad threads were now so disapproved of. I just scrolled on by saddle pad threads, without feeling the need to want to ban them which is what made it all so nonsensical. 🤣

It does feel a bit like not being in the popular group in a 6th form common room.

I did think the SV thread got a bit personal. I disagreed with some of the posts, but don't know the woman well enough to form a personal view.

Don't worry, I'm frequently confused too! You're not alone. I did get the saddle pad thread because I thought I'd open something nice, non-contentious and relaxing for a change, and got quite the surprise 🤣

But I had no idea about many things including biscuits, and I actually decided I'd prefer to stay ignorant on that one.

Surely - quit the crap about pads and biscuits and pseudonym individuals....?
Entirely.
(Prepared to stand corrected, but reads like that might be necessary to continue posting the information - focus on the actual issue)

The Equine Scienta page on FB has had a few posts in relation to the subject / method / groups concerned. I'm not sure they're all still on the page but seems open to discussion if Admin here is under pressure.

stilll there a few minutes ago. I would really suggest people have a look on there at some of the recent posts.

I just put that into a FB search and got equine science pages, and yes, I did out the phrase in correctly.

How bizarre. I have triple checked my typing and it isn't coming up even though I've scrolled forever and reached end of results. Only one purple picture, but not that.
Weird! Still never learnt to post photos on here or I'd screen shot it.
