Hi I have been feeding my mare
pro earth pro balance +
Speedibeet
Mag ox
Micronised linseed

She is looking a bit fat atm and just gone out on 24/7 on restricted grass. I was wondering weather to continue with the linseed or not. She has around 125g (I do have it written down but think its that) her feet are looking the best they have ever done and are very strong. Its just her weight im having issues with.

I only feed linseed in winter to a healthy/young horse.

Anyone else? I was told whn I was looking into her diet to feed it as it was good for feet. Obviously I don't want to stop it if its doing her some good

I'd carry on feeding but cut the quantity - how much speedibeet are you feeding? Are you feeding hay and is this soaked?

My lad only has about 50g of linseed, the rest of his diet is essentially the same (soaked grass nuts instead of speedibeet) and his feet are great after this very wet winter!

I had a look this morning and its 118g I was feeding. Ok ill cut her down. She has only a tiny bit of speedibeet jus to cover her mag ox and balancer. She has no hay as she lives out now
