Hi - I am looking for a recommended barefoot trimmer for my rescue horse as an alternative to rockly farm. He has bilateral lameness and shows some slight degenerative changes (with tiny bone spurs) of the left fore foot. We have had him in raised heels and normal shoes and also a normal farrier trimm. He has had antiinflam and cortisone injection - everything being unsuccessful. I realise diet should be addressed along with the supplementation of minerals??
Any other alternative remedies will be much appreciated as the vet seems to have drawn a blank. I have several other rescued horses - all the ponies are farrier trimmed and the horses are shod. I am looking for a different way to care for my horses feet!!
