Barefooters - Who trims themselves?

Is there a recommended course where you can learn to trim? My boy is barefoot and self trims apart from a bit of flare on the inside fronts. Would be interested to know if I could be shown how to do it myself properly.

I think it's a great idea to have an owners course. Perhaps it's time there was a course available through the usual channels. Why is hoof health (at a very high level) missed out of the BHS curriculum? Surely the first rule of horses is no foot no horse.

The only certified trimming courses in the UK are by the UKNHCP and EPAUK.

Most trimming organisations are reluctant to do owner courses for fear of people setting themselves up as trimmers with such minimal training.
