Anyone else's barefooter trimming his own feet at present!?? My lad even though he had a mustang roll all round on his last trim, is pretty much 'self trimming' his own at the moment!

We do work on varied terrains and because the ground in the freshly cut hay meadow is pretty hard underfoot at the moment, he's keeping his mustang roll topped up himself!!

He's due for a visit next monday, but i think they be little to take off and balance up as he's been doing this himself!

ETA: Ooops sorry Mods,..just realised i've posted in the wrong section,...please feel free to move us!!

I have 2 that are barefoot, they never { well about once in every 18 months} see a trimmer as they self trim themselves on the yard and roads.

Mine get done every 8-10 weeks in the summer and 10-12 weeks in the winter. The never get trimmed, just rasped to take flare off.

I have two new boys, so neither is there quite yet, but you have, imo, achieved the ideal. Well done!

Shoes came off my semi retired cob last Sept. Farrier checks him every 6 weeks when he comes to shoe my other 2, but so far hasn't touched them.

Yes when my farrier comes he says "why have you called me I can't take any off" lol - proving very cheap at the moment!
