Has anyone used dodson& horrell barley rings? I know they are good for condition and they say they are non heating but am thinking they are making my TB a bit fizzy?! Just wondered what others experience of them are and if anyone else's (highly strung!) horses have coped fine or been a bit silly with them!!

Any comments appreciated before I mess with feed again

I'm using them on one of mine to get a bit more condition on her and they haven't fizzed her up at all. She can be a bit of a worrier and gets a bit fizzy on build up cubes etc, the barley rings seem to have suited her quite well, good luck with your TB

Well they're still barley which is heating, but then I think they're micronised arent they? Which I believe makes them less heating, although dont quote me on that!

I fed it to my lot and nobody heated up on them. I fed them along with Build Up Cubes with no probs.

Thanks guys - good to hear what others think. It could of course be less turnout combined with feed as the little madam just does not want to be out. An hour or so and she is begging to come in!!

Just can't win!

Frannieuk - Just had a peek at your website and had to say Freya is looovely! Both your horses are looking great but I have to say Freya could definately find a home with me - sweet girl and gorgeous markings!
