i know a girl at college who used them.. i got on her horse one day to walk up and down the yard to see what they felt with. They are really nice and comfortable and she has never know them to snap open on her.

I've been using them for ages, great idea for the safety aspect and they've never come open!

I keep meaning to get some (my treeless has stirrup rings instead of bars) but not got round to it. They seemed quite pricey too

I've got a pair you can have cheap if you are interested and if I can find them.

I bought some fancy mountain horse quick release stirrups so don't need the buckles anymore.
