Has anyone had any good/ bad experiences with the Barnsby grip pad?

I have a problem with saddle slipping sideways on my connemara- he is extremely wide and he has no wither profile so it is very hard to stop the saddle slipping. I have used Limpet pads all the time and when they are new they are fantastic, but now mine are well worn they are not nearly as effective. They also look quite unconventional and get very sweaty and dirty and also have to warm to the horse supposedly before riding.

I have heard a lot of good things about the Barnsby slip pad.. does any one have any good or bad comments about it?

they are very pricey but I think it is worth it.. just wanted to check before I commit to buying as will get one specially made from the manufacturers as they only do pony or full size!

i have tried the prolite pad which wasn't effective, and heard recommendations of chamois leather etc but I am willing to spend the money if it is worth it!

Love them. One of the best horsy things I have bought

have only heard good things, and got to feel one the other day and I think could easily work, was concerned about washing them regularly though. I have never really got on with the limpets either

Bit of a tip - we have a horse that is shaped such that his saddle slips forward with a regular numnah and we need a grippy one. You can get the same thing for half the price from Shires and I found some on Ebay even cheaper. They have totally revolutionised our horse!
