Anyone got a Barnsby saddle what do you think of them !

From a Saddler's point of view they were my favourite saddle whilst I was training, 24 years ago, still good saddles, well made and English through and through.

I got a second hand Barnsby Dressage saddle and love it, really comfy and when you look at closely they are really well made.

i have a barnsby gp which i bought 6 years ago and LOVE it. i tried loads of saddles and those that fitted my horse were not rigtht for me. i ended up buying a brand new barnsby as i couldnt find anything else that came anywhere near the fit for my horse and the comfort for me.

Guess I have a duff one. Got mine fitted second hand from master saddler - found I was wearing stitching on flap so took it to my local saddler who said flap wasn't straight. He altered it when it was flocked - few months later white hairs on back not going forward and bucking. Used a different saddler who visited the yard - she announced that it was twisted and stirrup bars pinching.
Now have a Black Country.

Thanks I have now bought a Ideal H & C saddle.

I have one and I love it. I feel like I sit quite "deep" in it and its comfy

I have a brand new made to measure the service has been great and I love it very deep seated and fits my Fresian X like a glove.

From the saddle fitter coming out to measure and then to fit its been a really good service and the quality of the saddle is superb. In three months time from purchase they come out again, with the men in the van and readjust or whatever. Very pleased with mine and would really recommend them.
