I have rather a lot of plantain which is taking over and other tap rooted weeds like the false dandelions / catsears.

I’d rather not spray a load of chemicals and wondered if Barrier H might work but it only seems to be marketed for ragwort.

Anyone used it for these kinds of weeds?

Edited to as about Spot On Pro also which is acetic acid ?

I’ve tried a garden flame thrower / weed wand but they just grow back.
Thanks

We have had good success with SBK brushwood killer. Comes in a hand held spray, is fairly cheap, and has knocked the overgrowth of nettles down in 24 hours. They are now shriveling and dying. I do realise that it isn't an option for a large acreage though. And trying to apply on a dry day is getting difficult round here!

Even on ragwort I found barrier h useless spent a fortune it only killed the tops pretty dramatically as in about 2 hours but the plants grew back in less than 2 weeks

Thanks, that is my concern that a environmentally friendly weed killer won’t be effective
