I'm really interested in getting a treeless saddle, and think that these look very good. Does anyone have one and are you pleased with it? Anything not to like or to look out for?

Get one! I love mine and horsey won't work well in anything else since he's had it.

they don't need re-stuffing and look totally conventional, and feel amazing to ride in.

I have one and it has been pretty comfortable to ride on, although different from a conventional saddle and it did take a bit of bit if getting used to and I still feel that my knees stick over the flaps! My mare seems to like it though and I have not seen any signs of rubbing (although I use a sheepskin numnah under it). The only difficult bit is getting on off the ground, if you ever have to do that it can be difficult as the saddle slides round. You also have to have a straight seat as the saddle will move with you if you sit lopsidedly (and will also be lopsdided if your horse is).

I have the gp/jump version and the dressage version. I'm selling the gp/jump version at the moment as I need to raise some money.

they are very comfortable and one of the better treeless saddles. As someone said, they are designed by Barry Swaun and Kay Humphries who are two of the best saddle fitters in the UK

I have been looking at buying a HM Fhoenix saddle but recently looked at the Mondial...was interested to see someone said that they slip??? How do you stop that? Apparently the HM don't slip!

Sorry for the late reply. Re your question on slipping and stopping it, not very easy! I understand that all treeless or semi-treeless have this problem. I think it could be real problem with a fat or rounded horse with low withers as you could not get on off the ground. My mare has well defined withers and is not fat, but even so it is a bit of a challenge when I cannot find anything to climb on. I can manage it, but it's a bit of a balancing act with a 16.2 and I have occasionally (she's young so I do have to get off more than usual, so far always intentionally

) had to try a few times before getting up before the saddle slides.
