Did anyone used to go to this riding school in the north east.
I learnt to ride there during the 1980's, I remember they had unusally named horses and the riding instructor Mr Barras never called us by our names but by the horses we were riding!
During the summer we would ride in the big field with Mr Barras shouting directions on a megaphone! The field was so big we only got to go around a couple of times then had a cantor at the end from one end of the field to the other (which was actually a gallop!).
I had a lot of fun there
