Fatty is going to need a new saddle I fear. His current one is BC with Cair. It is only 18 months old. How much could I reasonably expect to achieve for it and where would be the best place to try and sell it?

2nd hand saddles aren't selling tremendously well at the moment....

eBay is your best bet, I've done well with a few saddles on there. I think you'll be looking at around £300-£350.

Bates saddles seem to sell really well on Ebay. Before you do anything though - see how much your saddler will give you for it in part exchange.

My saddler had mine for 7 months and didn't manage to shift it. However I have just had the good fortune to manage to p/x for a Passier GT

Why dont you ask your saddler to change the gullet. My mare changed shape this year and I have a Bates Caprilli bought new last year and my saddler came and changed the gullet and its brilliant again.
