I went for a new Bateson with the traditional type floor - but came with reinforced aluminium on the weight bearing points. New acrylic/plastic floors sound good but my OH is an engineer and was concerned about how difficult they would be to repair - i.e you couldn't repair them and would have to replace the whole floor which could prove expensive.....
