I’m looking for a new (secondhand) trailer, and like the look of the Bateson Ascot. Has anyone got any experience of these? Seems like second hand post2010 are hard to come by!

I’ve got a 2012 Deauville which is basically the Ascot without a tack locker, and mine has the barn doors rather than a ramp. It’s a great trailer, quieter than the old Ifors but I’m not sure how it would compare to a newer one.
Parts are easy to get from Bateson themselves.

My only complaint is that there’s no good place to tie a haynet!

I used to have a Bateson and had to replace the floor and the ramp. When the sides looked like they were going to need replacing I got rid of it.

Check everything very carefully.

I have an older Ascot (2004), it is the second one I have had and I really like them. Bateson themselves are very helpful and great to deal with when you need spares. Mine was a refurb job when I got it, but looks great now with a new floor, tyres and decals!
