i've had my now 3y/o for 2 years when she came to us she was completely unhandled to the point she'd never even had a head collar on. i showed her alot in the 2010 and 2011 season so shes had ALOT of baths but although shes alot better than she was; rearing, kicking out, running off ect shes still a fidget when the hose comes out! just basically throwing her weight around. sometimes shes fine like hosing her off when shes hot shes fine, and when i am bathing her, when i get cross she does then stand but i don't want to have to get cross with her! i know shes just pushing me but im compleetly at a loss! HELP PLEASE!!!

cross tie her, i did this with my (then) baby and he'll still fidget now but nothing major. He's worse with a hose pipe rather than a bucket and sponge, but i'm mean and at (now)7 he can get over himself:D

im going to cross tie as can see how that'll work! so thank you! i do sponge and bucket her before soaping her up but when rinsing it takes an absolute age to get the suds out with the sponge especially with the ammount of soap i have to use to get the white bits white! :L thank you!

when i first got my boy we started on his front feet and untill he settled with that started moving up with the hose and kept it on him till he saw that the hose wasnt going to kill him !! lol. Cross tying really really helps as he couldnt back up or do anything majorly stupid!
He still hates being sponged .... special pony.... hose he is ok with though. haha x
