Morning all …. Today I’m nervously thinking about bathing my 4 year old , who dances about like crazy just having her hooves done 🤦‍♀️ do i attempt this alone or should i wait until someone is able to help me , I’m a bit worried once I start her she won’t let me finish she really needs doing she quite dusty and very itchy x

My way is to teach them to be bathed, same as anything else new - baby steps rather than all at once.
So, day one I would just put a bucket of warm soapy water near by so they smell it, or put them near when I'm bathing the old quiet one. Day two, do that and rub their legs with a dry sponge then praise and finish. Same as any new thing- always move at the speed that doesn't frighten them.
I'm no expert- maybe others do differently?

Edited- Just noticed that this thread is in "Introductions". If you post questions in "Tack Room" they will get seen by more people. :)

I would start by just sponging water over her, far easier to deal with than worrying about getting shampoo rinsed out.
Maybe pop a drop of essential oil like lavender in the bucket.
Then use hosepipe to rinse off legs if all good.
Take it slowly, better to make sure all good over the coming days rather than start with foamy water etc and give yourself issues if too much too soon.
