I know we are now finally into the lighter evenings! (thank the Lord) but I wondered if anyone had any recommendations for batter powered flood lights that would light a normal sized school. Either just the bottom half of the whole of it. Thanks in advance.

2 of these will give enough light to use a 20x40 we put them up fairly high so they leave a few shadows and gloomy areas but it is fine to work in as long as the horse is not too spooky, if you had 4 they would give plenty of light over the whole school.

These were going to be my suggestion, awesome lights which are easy to carry around and last for ages before needing to be recharged. Just watch out when charging and don't leave them alone as the charger has been known to catch fire, so always make sure you're there when they're plugged in.

Any of these rechargeable lights will do the job but you need to have them on posts to give them some height so they will better illuminate the arena. The new led type lamps available now are low wattage but give tremendous light for so little power. Some years ago these weren't available or were very expensive, now they are affordable & do a great job.

There are plenty available on Ebay & they are cheaper.

Out of interest how have you made them tall above the school? And it is easy to take them down and put back up after being recharged?

We just put them on top of tall jump stands, above horse eye level, ours are small if over 16 hands it would need to be higher if I wanted something better I would put taller posts up to use.
