Does anyone own one and if so what are the bloodlines, daughter has to do a survey for school and on the basis that she once owned one of these horses and never met anyone else with one thought it would make for a very small survey

I have one (actually me as well as the horse are from Bavaria, so I know lots of bavarian warmblood horses, including mother, father, sisters of mine).
I have a mare, nearly 14 years ord now. She is registered in the studbook for breeding.
Here you can find the webpage of the breeding society, where you find information about exterieur etc. I know ist in German, but you can ask me if you need any information:
www.bayerns-pferde.de
What exactly do you want to know?

Just a survey for school so general stuff like how many people have them which areas have the most i.e I think scotland has more because there was a bavarian stud farm up there etc, thanks I will have a look on the site and may need to call on you again as I dont think my german is up to much

I used to work at the stud up here in Aberdeen, unfortunately dont have one onf the horses!! lol.

You will probably find that a lot of folk up here have them, or part bred decendants as the mares that I know of seem to go on to be bred from.

Quite a few got sold down south though. Have you contacted the Fichtners as they are I believe still in charge of the Bavarian Warmblood Society even though the stud has moved/downsized althought the website is no longer

I had a Bavarian. Bloodline wise he had some TB and other warmblood lines way back. Like others have said, I dont think there are many Bavarian studs down England way - we have a big one up here (Straloch) which is probably the biggest one, so there are a few of the breed up here. One of the best stallions Dorian was at Ridinghill Stud at Fraserburgh (North East Scotland still) but died not that long ago. If they're bred at Straloch they have "S" after their name, like storm123's horse "Lago S" was probably bred there or got the bloodlines.

I found mine extremely talented but entirely the wrong attitude!

They have closed the stud, so what happened to all the stallions and mares etc, I think my daughters horse was out of a stallion called Rolex S, cant remember the mares name. I tried the site bu t that as you said has gone and there was also a forum but it has now turned into a sex forum, very strange
