Just had a quick session with both the boys today. Thought we would get a few pics of our latest tat... Weather horrid... Typical

With Fig we worked on bendy things and keeping the tempo/contact consistent. He feels much stronger in everything, and able to maintain whatever we're doing for longer.

With CS we worked on forward forward forward, but keeping him soft over the neck. His work on both reins is evening up now, and he's starting to really push through with his hips.

Great pics! Like you say Fig is looking just so much stronger. His trot work is showing real sit.
CS looks great & I just want to know how to pack on the muscles like that for my scrawny TB ;)

I [heart] those boots. I've been lusting over some on EBay which are actually very reasonably priced but I was worried about them slicing my feet to ribbons. Having been through the pain barrier with my new competition boots I don't know if I can face it again :D

Both boys looking fab! Need to show pics to Wibs as *inspiration/you-will-carry-yourself-goddammit* :p Good luck for the next few parties!

Loving the boots, but I do think you need matching earwarmers for the pair of you next! Having witnessed a guy playing hockey in a bright pink fleece headband I'm sure there will be some out there ;)

Ah thanks - was really pleased with his behaviour today. The others were careering round the field for quite some time, and Fig came out a bit silly sharp but settled really nicely :)

I'm crying inside at the thought of breaking them in. Just going to wear them for hacks and stretchy sessions at first to loosen them..

Haha!!!! We're getting matchy hoodies for the winters, does that count ;)

Fab pics - that pink really is shocking

CS looking particularly uphill :)

I love it, the pictures don't even do the 'shocking' justice, it is much brighter than that!!

Great pictures. The improvement in both of them is amazing! And the matchy colours are lush!

Thanks - they were both really well behaved today :)

Cs looks 18hh!!!
Both look really fabulous, still want videos though!!!!

When the weathers better maybe! I had 4 coats and thermals on and was frozen to the core. Brr!!

Blimey, channging your own attire to match the matchy-matchy of your horses... now THAT is dedication! (and looks fab of course!) ;)

Beautiful horses! (Biased as I have two bay boys too) but they are stunning! And love the matchy matchy sets! Like your own colour co-ord with their matchy too

Bay boys are the best :D

The pink is so bright but looks nice! Love love love CS's blue though!

Both boys looking yummy as per usual :-)

We are doing matchy swapsies next week :)

Umm rider with blue top = my sister, rider with pink scarf = me :p

Both horses look great!

Can I ask a couple of questions??
Is that the new anky fuchsia set?
Have you seen the hibiscus and iris blue anky in real life?
Also what do you feed them, especially Fig as he was quite poor when you got him? My ex-racer has reached a weight gain plateau and is not putting on any more condition so I am thinking of changing his feed.
Thanks!

Fig looks stronger! But most impressed by CS who looks fantastic, the blue really suits him but he just looks so strong and mr.muscles!!

Lovely! :D I'm really loving the bright blue at the min too... I'm wondering if Dan can just about carry it off as I love for Pea buuuuut can't justify buying a pad that will stay in a box for 4years  Fig is looking super muscly! And Star is looking gorgeous as ever :) I'm very jealous! (not so much of the cold though, hehe!)

Where did you get the Anky fuschia? I want it but can't find anywhere :( Have hot pink but its just not pink enough ;)
Q

I got mine off ooteman as they were first to have it. But you can get it off Dressage Deluxe now.

Aw thanks.

Yep!
Nope!
Saracens releve (3 scoops/day), micronised linseed (2 mugs/day), mollichop:alfalfa 50:50 ratio (1 scoop overall/day). Biggest difference is adding powdered fenugreek to Figs feed - increased his appetite loads. He clears his bowls every day and eats loads more haylage :)

Thanks! Yes CS was on top form today, was really impressed with his trot work!

Probably not, you'll only want the new colours in 4 years time!!! :p

Thanks, going to try linseed and fenugreek. He isn't a big eater, he just picks at his haylage and he doesn't eat up really unless he does done 'work' even if it is a gentle hack, so there is no point giving him time off to help gain weight. Thanks :)

Fig is not a big eater - very fussy, picks at everything, but really gobbles it all down now. Was getting through 1 slice of haylage (if that much) a day, now getting through around 4 :) Doesn't leave any hard feed either!

Hehehe love the describing of matchy matchy as retina burning tat. Everyone has their on filthy secrets... :D :D Horses and riders looking fantastic as ever.

It's less of a filthy secret more a guilty pleasure!!!! Thanks :)

Aaaaaaa, my eyes!!!!! It burns!!! ;)

Fig is looking buff and loving the sit CS has found :)

Thank you :D

Lovely photos! You and Fig look such a good partnership now and CS is looking really uphill :)

Yes I've felt like he's been paying a bit more attention in the school recently, feels like he's found his 'zone'?

Pah like that's any excuse, get videoing woman!!!!

*on it*

They're looking fabulous, so strong!

Thanks!

Love the pink matchies, very smart! CS is looking very muscle-ly :D)

Everyone has a Barbie side ;)

Love them. The pics do make me feel chilllllllllly though!!!

I have the hibiscus set, it's a reddy/orangey/corally colour. I posted a thread about my baby horses and the bay one is jumping in it :)
