Bay Coat Bleached by Sun

Yes!!!

I have a black pony, and her mane always gets flecks of orange in the summer!!

my mare was out for whilst I went away on holidays, she was left unrugged as it was when we had a boiling hot spell and now she is in I keep looking at her an thinking her coat looks really dull and bleached,

Prob have to wait now till her wintercoat comes and can clip it off, Or I wonder if the colour shampoos would put colour back in to it? if not there is a gap in the market for that one

The bay I was riding had a bleached coat in the shape of his saddle and girth -think sweat must make it bleach more. Looked very funny.

My big bay boy is definitely bay in the winter, but his mane bleaches in the summer and you'd swear he was chestnut! But his tail stays black, so who knows?!

Agree! The black boy I used to ride had a bleached coat with brown/orangey flecks where his saddle and girth went. I washed him down after riding when he got sweaty though.
