I know that most bay foals are born with buff/paler legs which then turn black when foal fluff is lost, but what happens coat-colour wise with bay foals born with black legs?

I've seen some stuff about them greying out, the first signs being grey hairs on the face (specifically around the eyes or the back of the ears) or in the lower part of the tail, but at what age would this happen? Are there some that never go grey?

Does anyone have any pictures of their bays going grey?

Thanks :)

Is one parent grey? All bay foals I had with black legs and a grey parent greyed out.
But most bay based Appaloosa/partbred Appaloosa foals are born with black legs, and black based Appaloosa's are born black too, these do not grey out.
