Approx 16hh mid to heavy weight hunter type, bay mare. Two long white socks to off and near hind. White blaze crooked over muzzle. Fully clipped and fit!!! Fully shod! Wearing faded green nylon/webbing headcollar.

Impressioin from horse is it has been hunted this season and obviously turned out out to be let down gently. (excellent jumper!!! clearing five bar gates with ease much to friends disgust!!!) Very friendly and easy to handle (once calmed down after galloping round the Bedfordshire country side! with two police cars and multiple people on foot!)

Mare now safely being cared for in overnight stabling. Uninjured.

So if you know of anyone who happens to have lost their horse, ring Bedfordshire Police for contact numbers for its return!

Can't help - sorry but someone's going to be a bit miffed and worried when they go to their field this morning!

Hope she's reunited with her owner today.

As yet no one has come forward regarding this mare and NO ONE in the vicinity recognises her as being a local horse????

Police now checking records for adjoining counties (Northamptonshire & Buckinghamshire)

Passport must be produced to be able to collect this lovely mare!

you should find the owner as every horse has to have a passport and im sure they have a checking thing or something somewhere... good luck!!! and if you dont find the horses owner at least its a nice horse !!

What about contacting Horsewatch? Perhaps this mare has been stolen in another part of the country and, in view of her jumping prowess, has escaped from her new "keeper". Or tryPeterNatt on here, he seems to have a lot to do with stolen horses. Sorry that sounds bad, what I mean is he seems to be involved with reporting stolen horses on the forum

All of those suggestions have been done! And still no owner????

Rather odd eh? You'd think someone would be missing their horse? Unless of course they are on holiday!!!
