the story about the 4 yr old winning 25 rosettes...and?!!! hes a prodigy apparently! actually its a lovely pony tho and he looks quite good little rider. good to get more exsposure for the sport.

Yeh I didn't quite see the point of it - agree he was a lovely rider and super pony but so what? There must be several hundred others just like him up and down the country. I kept expecting there to be a link to a wider picture - like "this is part of a wider initiative to get more kids into horse riding and improve our prospects at the next Olympics" or something.
More likely an editor/researcher is a friend of the family...

My friend's little boy was jumping off the lead rein at 4 or 5 years old. This Boxing Day he went hunting - off the lead rein at the age of 6. It was quite comical to see the horses trotting up through our village with the little lad keeping up on his 12hh pony! Anyone who can do rising trot that fast has my respect!
