well today decided to take honey up to BCA for the annual show and to do the dressage and sj. it was raining first thing when i got to the yard but mustn't complain as we do need it, and our horses all came in shivering! bless them

we arrived for the dressage and think honey was shocked how short the jpurney was...5 minutes!! too lazy to hack! our warm up got a bit rushed for the prelim as only got 15 minutes warm up by the time we arrived and tacked up so didn't really manage to get the engagement or contact i need. we were doing a really boring test (P7) which doesn't suit her as we need the circles to aid engagement, this test has 2, and her canter is crooked which did get picked up, so the judge was paying attention! came out with 62% so finished 8th out of about 25 or so.

then came N21, managed to warm up for longer this time and warmed up a bit better but still not her best test in the world getting 58% our lowest novice mark to date.

then came the SJ and BCA had some very strabge rules, watched the end of the 85cm and it was run under A7 rules but they created a whole new course for the JO with all new fences and renumberd them all! then got the competitors to walk the JO course! it was meant to be run under BSJA rules!!

anyway we were entered for the 95cm and 1m class. we warmed up for the 95cm trying out new way of jumping after lesson on tuesday but wasn't working! anyway went in and she stopped at the first, WTF she never stops at the 1st then she stopeed at the 3rd so we got eliminated!

we decided not to do the 1m in the end as she just wasn't herself so we are goign to give her an easy week this week and hopefully be better next time in 2 weeks time.

sorry if this is a bit long
