BD bridle numbers

Am doing my first BD comp tomorrow and I've just realised that I don't have a bridle number/saddle cloth number and won't be able to get to the saddlers before then.

what will happen if I don't have one?!

I'm not affiliated by the way..it's just practice for eventing.

Grovel to the judge and tell them your number on the way in, have you got a friend you can borrow one from?

You might get a small penalty mark for not displaying your number - it depends on the judge and how strict they are. Shame you aren't a bit closer as I've got 3 or 4 sets of bridle numbers!

You shouldnt get a penalty!? Just tell them on way in

Just say it has just broken and apologise. This really did happen to me and they were fine.

I've forgotten mine a couple of times and the judges were always really nice about it, they just asked me for my number when I entered the arena

I would try and borrow one if you can - I think it is in the rules that your number has to be visible when you are working in. Good luck at your first comp!

btw doing my first one soon and just bought the bridle numbers today.. do u put a number on both sides??
