BD in jumping saddle

Can I do BD in a jumping saddle and will I get laughed out of the arena? I have a dressage saddle on order but it is taking weeks and weeks and thats a whole other story. But the only other saddle I have is a jumping one,now either I don't compete until July or I do it in a jumping saddle - opinions please?

Wouldnt worry at all! I have a WOW but am too lazy to put dressage flaps on so sometimes do BD in my jumping one! He's always placed and judge obviously doesnt care!

Sure nobody will say anything but if they do just think to yourself its better to have a horse going well than all the kit and a horse that doesnt act the part!

My eventer does his dressage in a jump saddle. He qualified and went to the BD regionals in that saddle too, nobody seemed to notice?

I haven't got a dressage saddle for my young horse and we competed at the winter champs, I don't really like dressage saddles on young horses anyway

Of course you can - I did until last August and am placed every time we go. People won't be laughing when you win!!! My new boy will be ridden in a jumping saddle for the foreseeable future as it's going to take me a while before I can start lengthening my stirrups on him!!!
