It's there, I promise you. As I remember if you look under membership then scroll to the bottom of the page there's a link to a pdf file with the membership forms on it. Admittedly they aren't really promoting it!

Do you think they are ashamed to have us? Cheek of it - I was a full BD member for two yrs when I 1st started eventing. Always felt wildly out of place! How are you getting on with the new boots?

I wouldnt dare dream of it (yuk - thinks why someone ever would want too cover horse in baby blue or pink?) White dressage square and thats about as cool as I get - adding 1/2 pad makes saddle too tight in summer - perhaps he could wear it for winter dressage as will have dropped off alittle - he always does regardless how much food and work etc he gets

New boots are coincidently going for their first outing on Saturday to do *whispers* .... BD! On a ticket, I hasten to add. I'm also giving a new (ebay) black pikeur coat it's first outing so you'll hardly be able to distinguish me from the proper dressagers at all! The rather yellowish breeches might give it away though. I thought I'd christen all the new kit at a competition that didn't really matter before taking it BE you see

I've decided against the 6 month membership thingy. There's quite a lot of unaff dressage round here to Elem level and to make it worth the money (ie. cheaper than competing on day tickets) I'd need to be doing >10 tests, which is 5 outings to BD competitions before March. With so much hunting and BSJA to be done I don't think that will really happen

The horse also refuses point blank to wear fluffy overreach boots so I might not be allowed in anyway....

See I point blank am not brave enough to BSJA!!

so Hunting and BD is the way forward - perhaps with the odd working hunter thrown in - thats showjumping of sorts isnt it?!

Not really sure about showing though i think its prob worse in the scheme of things! navy beagler, navy coat, ... might fit in just but REFUSE to ever wear white breechs!

Points! I'm just aiming to stay in the ring!

No decent unaff round here and I'm 20 mins from a fab BD venue so it makes sense to go. Though I might see if I can get away with the open prelims they do with the BD judges.

My hats are all skull caps & my jacket is tweed, spot the imposter!

Oh gawd! Do I need new clothes?

I was going to splash out £12 on the bridle numbers but my tweed jacket and lycra black skull 'silk' will have to suffice.

I e-mailed them a couple of weeks ago to enquire as couldn't find any info and they sent me this:

"Hi thank you for your email; we are introducing a winter season membership for BE members, it is to run form the 1st October -31st March.

It will be at a lower cost of £30 for riders and £30 for horses,

The level that you will be eligible to ride does depend on what level of eventing you have done and the level you had previously competed at in Dressage.

I have checked our database and based on just your previous competition history for dressage you would be classed as a 6, I am afraid this does mean you would be an open Novice rider.

If you have done BE advanced, you would be no lower than a five, if you have done intermediate you would be no lower than a 6."

I'm pretty knarked as I forgot about the rider groups and because of my past history ****whispers 'dressage diva'****

I take alot of pride in wearing my tweed while everyone else is in black! I dont see the point in pretending to be a dressage rider cos when I get into the arena its painfully obvious im an eventer lol!

Oh b*gger. I've just entered 2 Novice Restricted tests as a level 8 rider (no BD history at all). As I've competed at BE Intermediate does that make me a 6 then????? Grrr blooming complicated rules
