BD points?

Have been lightly competing my horse in unaffiliated comps at Uni. He's beem doing very well in them (high 60's) and with his previous owner (who only had him for a few months just as a project) got just over 70% in Elementary, unaff.

Anyway, I am planning to affiliate him early next month. How exactly does the points system work? I went on the BD website but didn't get much from it.

I think they have an online handbook. What uni are you at that you get to compete?! I am at Kings, Central London...hehe...not much horsey stuff there!

You start getting points when you achieve over 60% in Novice... you do not get points at Preliminary level.

If your horse has been imported, he will immediately have points put on him when you join BD, but these can be reduced if you have him assessed for downgrading.

He hasn't been affiliated before, he has just done unaff. stuff.

I compete at Hartpury, pretty good show-wise as I get disscounted entry fees and they have them two or three times a week.
