Hi all

Having had a mad fit and joined BD the other night (honest no wine) I am now getting worried that me and my wild horse will be out of place

No rule book yet so I also have questions, on the schedules it says Open or Restricted section?
I am presuming that we will be restricted? Is that correct?
The schedule on the web does not say what time the classes start, do they all start in the morning?

If I get everything through quick I might try for Oldencraig first, but they are rather posh??? Can you tell I'm getting a case of the nerves

Thankies for any tips

Hiya

Dont get nervous!! Having said that I still do now!!

If you have no points and are not an AI then you can go restricted in Prelim and Novice. oldencraig is a lovely centre .. posh... they are all posh cause dressage is posh!! LOL!!! You will be fine.. go for it!! If you do prelim/novice they are normally first, times depend on how many people are competing etc... You will be fine I am sure... enjoy!

Thankies
Was going to go in at Nov as that is the level we are eventing at?
We have no points but what is AI?
Have been to Oldencraig unafil before but found it very daunting, my horse is more of a jumper needing to do more dressage

Go for Novice, I have always gone straight in at Novice and don't well so far. Mine are IDxTB that look more like eventers than dressage horses but nonetheless they have always been placed and have won classes.

Don't be scared about going to Oldencraig not that I have been there but I go to Patchetts and have entered to go to Classic Dressage next week (its Rebecca Patmores place so full of posh dressage horses)

Oh good luck at Patchetts next week, yes have seen some of the horses there when have been BSJA, whole place is lovely. Might see you there sometime, its not that far for me just depends on the M25

It's BHSI's not II's that will be at least rider group 5 according to the rulebook (ie have to ride open at prelim, novice and elementary).

Patchetts is 2 weeks sunday but thank you. Probably will see you around but won't be out much from September as I am back to uni.
I go all over the place; Bucks, Berks, Oxon, Herts, Wilts, Hamps, Surrey and Sussex.

To answer the time of classes question, it really depends on the show centre, round this way one of ours starts at 8.45am and another starts at 10am. You will have to ring for times a couple of days before usually.
