I'm very worried that when i come to register my mare with BD, she will be classed as 'imported' - she is 12 years old now, and i have had her since she was a 5 year old. she is a selle-francais X arab, and her papers are all in dutch! but as i bought her through an (un)reputable dealer, i have no 'proof of importation dates' etc....

she has been registered with the BSJA, and initially, they put her as a grade B, although when we explained the situation she was eventually registered as having no winnings.

any ideas guys!!!!! i cant be alone in this, and anyone who takes one look at my horse will know she has never done pure dressage in her life!

I don't know about BD but with BE if the horse is under 5 I don't think they ask for competition history. I was able to prove that my body had been in the UK as a four year old so they didn't ask for anything further.

As you've had her since she was 5, it may make things easier - I guess ask them first what their policy is in this situation.
