Went to Aldham Mill to do the 2 novices with my improved super pony. I had a lesson yesterday and Gin felt fantastic so I put everything into practise.
She warmed up really well but was a bit stiff to the left like she always is when were competing. I managed to get her really forward and listening and she felt fantastic.
Went in to do the first test and she was slightly behind the leg but did a nice accurate test. Put Gin back in the box and then went to look at my score. I had only won the class with 70.5%. My jaw just dropped
, I really couldnt belive it.
Got Gin back out but only warmed up for 20 mins as she was worn out. The working in was busy which Gin doesnt like so I didnt do much and then went in to do my 2nd test. Again she dropped behind the leg but was rideable and I thought she did a nice test so was a little disappointed to only get around 63%(I did forget to give and retake my reins) Im putting it down to experience and the fact that she was tired.
So my horse is a superstar
and we have now completed our qualification!
Piccies will follow as soon as my 'groom' emails them to me.
