hi! does anyone know the difference between the Shearwater National 6 year old dressage horse championship held at addington and the British young horse national 6 year old championship held at Hickstead??? I am not interested in the international classes, but i just wondered what the difference was between these two championships? would be great if someone can explain-i am very confused by my BD schedule!!

I always thought they were the same but just sponsored by different people. A bit like the Badminton Horse Feeds young horse classes that are then held at Badminton House.

Would also be interested to know if there is a difference.

You are correct - they are the same thing (basically) but just sponsored by different people

There are two different championships - but they use the same tests.

The British Young Horse championships are run at Hickstead late July and the qualifiers are mostly held at BD Premier Leagues. Last year the sponsor was Rhinegold.

The Shearwater sponsored British Dressage Young Horse championships have the championship at Addington in mid July and the qualifiers are run at BD shows which are not part of the Premier League circuit.
