Just about to enter Strathallan & Auchinleck, I thought (for some reason, no idea why!) that S was first then A, so given how nice A is and how technical S is I was going to Intro at S & PN at A.
But I was wrong Auchinleck is first (very nice course) so Don't know whether just to bite the bullet & PN at both Auchinleck & Strathallan.

Don't know if I'd rather Intro at S as Dubh lost confidence since going lame last year, we are nearly back up to scratch SJ wise but he's still not as bold xc. Though he did complete Kirriemuir PN in April it was with a few stops XC

Help someone bash some sense into me as I am incapable of deciding!

Why don't you PN at Auchinleck and Intro at Strathallan? Think that's what I would do, given the courses. Auchinleck's a nice PN, but if you've any doubt about his confidence xc then go Intro at Strathallan as the PN isn't the most inviting.

That's what I was thinking, better to be kicking myself fr underfacing him thatn overfacing him!

I have another q just for you, what is Hendersyde like?

If you have the slightest doubt about your horse's confidence enter Intro not PN.
Intro is low enough to almost force them round, PN isn't.
Some of the courses we've done recently required bold horses, so unless you are totally confident you won't have problems, don't over face the horse. You may be able to up to PN after the first event if they are obliging.

I agree with henryhorn, having learnt the hard way! Attempted a PN after doing 4night shifts and had to pull up at fence 5. Reckon I could have got round if it was an Intro though. Now have gone back to two Intros before next PN. That is, if horse stays sound and weather doesn't go mental again!

Start with the PN at A and enter the Intro ay S and if he goes well ring the sec and see if you can move to PN at S.
Sec's are generaly very helpfull.

Gone for Intro at both, there are about 4 more events up here than last year so if he goes well at A & S then we will go back up to PN.
