Please be on your guard regards outbuildings and making sure they are secure.
My parents live just outside Ilkley, and today our stable alarm went off - our stables are over the lane from the property.
My mum shot out to find a silver BMW in the middle of the road with a man at the wheel, with his accomplice walking out of our stables.
She asked him what he was doing, and first thing he said was he hadn't stolen anything..... Guilty conscience if I ever heard it.
Anyhow, police duly called, but nothing is missing and we suspect they were seeing if there was anything worth nicking (didn't strike us as rug thieves)
We do wonder if they were checking for a quad or something - which we don't have.
We've let the neighbours know, but just wanted to let you all know.
So keep an eye out for a silver BMW with 2 Asian men in it.
