A friend recently was emailed with the option to buy 2 well bread horses that were trained in sj and dressage.

(he had placed an advert looking for a horse to buy on a website)

All for the price of £1000 for the two. (this included them being "delivered"

Turns out that it was from another country and wanted personal details and would ship that day.

I dont want to give too many details of the email as it may have been genuine,

Doubt it very much though.

just wanted to let you know incase you know of a similar thing is emailed to you.

Thanks for the warning, I will tell all my friends xx

has scam written all over it. Normally it goes in reverse - you are approached after advertising item/horse by someone abroad who then happens to over pay you - not a problem, they trust you!!! you can pay back the difference via western union.. so ... did you know that banks get take a very long time (like months) to come back to you to tell you that the cheque is forged/stolen and then promptly take that money back out of your account.. only way if you think this could be true is to pay something like £20 to get the bank to call the other account and validate it. Oh and the truly awfull spelling and grammar is normally a dead give away as well!

i had something similar from a wanted advert earlier in the year.... they said it would only cost me £300 to ship 3 horses from africa.... LMAO - like i am that dumb!
i must admit i replied to it just to see what they would say - hence i pushed for a price for shipping....

I've had the same, posted a wanted looking for a part share and got about 4 emails in the space of a couple of days all from scammers. Each one said they had a horse that I could have, could be delivered etc. but they wanted my details. Considering I was just looking to help out with something, having lots of horses offered to me sounded alarm bells lol.
