..i have never evented much, and am doing a couple of unaff ODE this summer/autumn and a couple of hunter trials in the autumn. and got me thinking about maybe doing one or two Intro's next season with Monty (as he has evented in the past, up to PN, and i think one N. i know he would love it and i wanted to give it a go next season...only like intro level though! lol

)

i went on the BE website and found something about day tickets?? can someone explain to me EXACTLY what these are...i guess you buy them when you enter...and i read that i can only have max. 4 in a season (which is fine, i probs wont want to do any more than 4)...but can i get placed on one? (not that i am likley too

) as bsja day tickets you cannot win anything.

just any info please!!

thanks in advance

Unless you are a fully paid up BE member (a good couple hundred quid for you and horse!), then you have to buy day tickets. One for you and one for your horse.

You are correct that a rider is restricted to 4 day tickets in a season, but a horse can have as many as you like. If you enter online at BDWP.co.uk, the day ticket is automatically added on when you enter your rider and horse numbers * as it knows that you are not a proper member.

You are still eligible for prizes etc as a day ticket member, unlike mean BSJA!

* You have to register on the BE website to get a "lifetime" reg. no. for both you and your horse. This is free but must be done before making entries.

oh ok...so i would need to get a free lifetime number, and then when/if i enter for any intros next season i use that number and the day ticket fee is automatically added on??

thats pretty simple

and thats nice you can get prizes...not as mean as the bsja haha.

i think i am right in thinking the horse and rider tickets are about £16 each?? but the first 4 rider tickets you buy i think are only £11? (im sure i saw that somewhere on the BE website)

Correct, sign up on the BE website and then in the "My Details" section you'll find your reg. no. You also need to do the same for your horse and get a reg. no. for him/her.

Then, when you enter online you enter these numbers and it's all sorted for you, far easier than faffing around with paper forms and cheques!

You are also right that the first four rider tickets are slightly cheaper, every little helps?!

I'm doing my first BE on a day ticket (horse and rider) but to be honest, I wasn't even thinking about whether I was eligible for a prize or not- I think I'd fall over if we made it into the top 10, out of the bottom 10 will do me nicely!!!
