Just wondering what marks in BE dressage you all felt was an OK score? Found the sheet from the only time we did dressage test (Into 100) and we managed 100/200 (mainly 5's) but I don't have much idea whether that would be deemed an ok first try?? Would like to do some more local ODE's but I worry that my dressage is really sh*t which does kind of put me off a bit.

dont worry dont let stressage put u off. ur competing against urself each time. each dressage judge sees something different which is really annoying sometimes because a good test may get a rubbish mark and vice versa!
with regards to marks, the score that i wuold be pleased with depends on which horse im riding. i ride a 17.2 who had to go in a compeltely different way because she was doing more advanced work and a 36 at novice was brilliant for her, whereas a 36 for my 15.3 who is a flashy warmblood would be a bad mark for him at novice, as one would expect more of a horse of his calibre!
so dont worry, just enjoy it

Thanks!! B is a fab show jumper and I love the going for it XC bit but I get so frustrated with myself doing dressage. I should try and get to some indoors this winter for practise and have a go at the ODE's next season.
