BE Fitness (for humans) Survey!

My feedback is that it doesn't ask for any info on what I do outside of riding to get fit! I skate for 3-4 hours a week, in the summer I mountain bike for a couple of hours, I have an active outdoor job and I also try and climb once a week. It also focuses on what I eat on the day of the competition, when I think it is more relevant to look at diet on a day to day basis (I eat pretty healthily day to day but get lunch from the catering wagons at competitions!). I was also a bit unsure how to answer 'how do you feel after competing' - is that a question about my emotions or one about my fitness/recovery time?!

Thank you for the feedback!

Its a good point re the no fitness/eating questions (I was limited to 10 by survey monkey!) But at the moment I am more interested in that you eat healthily and then on the day where you compete most people choose to eat at the burger van - I know I do!!

Will wait for some feedback from this survey and then do some tweaks!

Thank you!

Hi,

I have done this too. When I did my post grad work a couple of years ago I used survey gizmo and it was free to students. I had to make sure my email was an academic one, for example, I was at Imperial Collage and the email ends in .uk.ac. Anyway, it let me have as many surveys with as many questions in as I wanted. The data download was also fairly simple. Just thought I'd pass it on in case you wish to ask more questions.

On a fitness note I have started running to broaden my fitness so perhaps you include fitness outside of rising like another post has suggested. I find I am quite 'riding' fit but after running round our track at the yard I nearly vommed! Eekk :(

Good luck

I think nutrition is key - you get out what you put in etc!

I'm going to see a nutritionist in a few weeks and will be looking at my diet and requirements for rider fitness - not quite at BE level but hoping to do some more unaff XC/one day events and maybe BE80 - bit of a way to go though as i'm just about to get on after a broken hip and my horse a splint fracture - so we're only just beginning a fitness progamme..
