It will basically the same as this year but there are a couple of new events in this area (yay!) and I will try not to break my arm in the middle of the season

I only managed to find one new one in Devon (and another one in South Cornwall), but if the one in Devon is the one i think it is.. i did it as an unaff. ODE last summer, and you'd have to pay me good money to go back there again!!!

Why on earth can BE not get its head around organising CIC*s?

They can be used as a qualification result for moving up to CIC**s, and in addition they were stipulated in the extra qualifications needed for those horses going to Le Lion this year, which I would like to aim for with William next year. The popularity of the unaffiliated CIC* at Tweseldown earlier this year was surely testament to the succes this could have? Maybe it would also be more financially viable than the fiasco that the PN 3 day events have been this year - they would be cheaper to run if the venue was already holding another CIC/CCI, and less off-putting financially for competitors hopefully.

I see they're planning on running the PN3DE at Strathallan. Didn't run this year due to lack of entries. Wonder if they've paid any attention to the comments made about very high entry fees for it.

tigers_eye - couldnt agree more. I'd love to try a CIC 1* towards the end of the season but there are none!
