The 3 at rented fields...depends. If its just a check as long as it takes to feed and check them over. If its to ride as long as that may be. Or I may just sit and have a cuppa and watch them fo an hour or tinker with some fencing etc.
The ones at home... I flit back and forth all through the day.. Can't wait till I can have them all at home.

Ellie is just outside my back door....so when I'm home I pop out probably once an hour at least to give her a scratch and a carrot. Then of course mucking out at each end of the day takes at least half an hour, riding another hour or so. So it's tricky to say really!

about an hour in the morning but most of the time i'm doing my stable and about an hour adn half in the evening, i spend more time up there with him on the weekend as o/h is home to look after the children.

I spend like an hour or so ever two weeks with my little pony (as he is retired at home and I am at uni).
With my horse a few hours per day, or every other day. It really depends as I also have a sharer for him so sometimes I just go and see him, other days I go to ride, groom, etc.

Around 30 - 40 minutes in the morning mucking out, telling her that she's beautiful etc then I go to work. If there are no after school meetings, then I spend 1 1/2 - 2 hours at the stables, if I do have a late finish, then I'm afraid it's about 1/2 hour sadly. This happens on Staff meeting nights usually. Weekends though, both Saturday and Sunday morning, with a return visit in the evenings. And then there are the school holidays......................I love my job

Not alot in the week tbh, as OH usually feeds them on way home from work, but Im selling my colt to fund driving lessons and a cheap run around so then I can spend hours on end up there with my 2 original babies,
At weekends when Im riding I spend a couple of hours up there especially in the summer, I stay up there all day and take packed lunch!

Reading these has made me realise how lucky I am. I live on a farm, working from home and I spend most of the day every day with my horses. I remember when I used to have to work all day and snatch whatever time I could with them and I count my blessings now. I have learned loads from being able to watch them all day and I would hate to have to go back to working a job away from home. Even while I am working I can see them through the window. Its bliss.
