Sorry, very self indulgent, but my baby (5 yr old) has just done his first BE Intro and ended up 14th. I'm so delighted with him. He did an absolutely stonking round xc. The official photos are hilarious. I walked the course thinking 'OMG, will he manage' and then the pics show him clearing everthing by miles. Very proud mother!

Weather was hellish though. I've just about dried out, but my god, wet tweed stinks!

I take my hat off to you for doing so well in today's bad weather - I found getting to and from the indoor school an ordeal in all this rain!!
 
Well done. One of my liveries was there today and she was dissappointed with both of her horses dressage but it's entirely understandable in the weather we had. Given the conditions that's a great result for your youngster - well done!

OMG is that true? Mine is about 30 years old and it stinks when it gets wet,( well actually when it starts to dry out!). The dry cleaners are always telling me that woollen tweed shouldn't be worn in the rain!

Sort of. Wee grey not going to make Novice so thought I'd sell him so that someone else can have some fun on him. Thinking of getting something else, though, to bring on (can't afford one that's already doing Novice!). Mind you, baby coloured is doing things way beyond any expectation, so you never know! Had a far more comfortable xc round yesterday on him than I've ever had on wee grey!
