BE - how easy is it to swap horses before an Event?

I've Registered my new girl with BE for the 2007 season and am going to buy some Day Tickets and do the odd event with my other girlie.

If I enter and the one who's registered goes lame, can I just call the Organising Secretary, send them my Day Ticket and get the entries swapped over or would I have to withdraw?

well certainly we have swapped horses over before an event if a horse has gone lame, although that is when both horses have been full members of BE- i dont know whether the same thing would apply for day tickets - maybe email or ring BE and ask??

Not sure on that one, I did it the other way, horse entered on a day ticket and subsituted with a registered one, worked out expensive as had to pay for the substitution and lost my day ticket money!

Uhm... yes, this is what I'm thinking. Should I fork out another £80 and join the Pony too, in case new Ned goes lame or risk the Day Ticket scenario or just withdraw and sit at home depressed?

Really I can't afford all this and should go back to Unaff where you can enter the week before....!!
