Ha ha... Glad he's getting better, epic pic :D

My cat used to sit on my lap on the train ride too and from Plymouth, she loved it :D

My parents had a caravan site near Borth and one owner used to regularly bring his cat all the way from Shrewsbury - cat even learned to wander around the site and return to the caravan.

My Siamese use to come for car rides, doesn't half shock people at the lights ! And one of my current cats is a little **** for getting in cars have had to collect him from various places :)

Our old cat Basil, came with us living in a caravan for 18 months. We travelled all over the country and never lost him. He used to sleep on the bottom bunk with the dog and my husband had to be careful if taking the dog for a walk(going to the pub) as the cat used to stalk them. He also kept one caravan site free of mice, the wardens told us every morning there was a neat pile of bodies on the dustbin for them.

He used to be terrible to take anywhere!

Eventually he discovered that the box meant we were going to my the OH's house and it meant that he had lots of room to run around!

Since then he's been pretty good to travel, to the point I took him out of the carrier last time I was on my own and he just slept on the passenger seat! We were only going 10 mins down the road mind you!

Our tame starling used to love to come in the car. But we had to ban it because he preferred to travel at the top of the steering wheel. Ergo, each time you turned the wheel, he would have to do a frantic Swan Lake-like pas de deux to stay in position. He also came riding, perched (to the horse's fury) between its ears, until I taught him to travel on my shoulder. I still miss him!

We usually used to take our cats on caravan rallies every weekend when I was a child. One of the cats loved it so much, that if we didn't bring her, she'd stow away under the car and travel on the engine somewhere. Incredibly, she never got out at traffic lights or rest stops. Only when we arrived at the camp site, would she casually saunter across, rubbing herself against our legs and looking for her tea.

How cute! Our family cat used to wail and wail, but now he is 19 he has hopped into the car and been out for a ride with my parents, my dad has a convertible - I've told them that's not allowed haha!
