Am looking for something thin and comfy for my lad to wear under his bridle when we go for extended hacks as we often stop off and do not like leading by the bridle

would the be nice be ok in your opinion ? and can you tie up with them, he has never been known to pull back put would it be ok if he did ???

not really for tieing up as they place alot of pressure on the poll and the nose with them being very thing peices of rope.
I would used an ordinary head cooller and remove your nosband.

I use a Driving Halter, as they are safe to tie up with and lie flat under the bridle.

I got mine from here -
http://www.robinsons-uk.com/products/Productdetail.asp?ProductCode=56118 They only go up to Cob size, but that fitted my 15.3hh cob mares bucket head!!!

if the driving halter is only cob - no way will fit his head

Endurance bridle, brill idea but not practical, he is an issue to bit at the best of times let alone couple of time in one outing!!

Tried libbys scrawrig, but i did not trust it, he can do a pretty headstrong buck and gallop
