if 2 riders finish on same score eventing how are they placed ie joint first or first and second

I believe it is the rider closest to the optimum time on the xc but I will stand corrected as I don't do BE!

if those are the same, then judge's good marks in dr count - whoever had the highest collectives, iirc.
if that ties (v unlikely) then i think it's joint.

Though I did manage a joint 3rd recently, both on the same dressage score, same collectives, clear SJ and 1.6 time faults!!! we were both given 3rd then next person was 5th - caused the organisers a few headaches with the rosettes and prizes tho
