Beginning to plan this year and am trying to work out what classes daughter and new boy are eligilble for. Horse is grade 2. Know they can only do open classes upto novice. Where I'm not clear is BE PC classes and NS classes. Can any grade of horse compete in these or are they limited as well? I have looked through the rule book and can't seem to find the right section.

With a Grade 2 horse (i.e. Intermediate level) you are really quite restricted:
* BE100 U18 is for Grade 3 and 4 horses
* BE100 Plus is for Grade 3 and 4 horses
* BE80, BE90 and BE100 are for Grade 4 horses
* BE80 PC is for Grade 4 horses
However
* BE90 PC and BE100 PC are open classes, so you can compete if you can find one (http://www.britisheventing.com/section.asp?section=1008&sectionTitle=The+Pony+Club)
* BE90 Open is fairly rare but you can compete in them.
* BE100 Open is more commonly found on the schedules and you can certainly compete in these.
I don't think that the NS classes are running this year.

Good luck!

Thank you no collection. We are mostly aiming at 100 this year and there are plenty of open classes around us.
